This industrial space was repurposed into offices for a local structural engineering firm. As their operations continued to grow, space was at a premium and more was needed.

Structural work and the demolition of a concrete partition allowed the space to be doubled via a tunnel. This connection allowed for the creation of 20 new workstations, highlighted by long clear spanning desks made from structural mass timber slabs and steel.

An extra washroom, two phone booths and a new reception area permitted increased functionality, while neighboring tenant operations called for extensive sound mitigation to be introduced. The millwork was customized and detailed in-house, and the use of baltic birch and raw steel cladding pull together to create a dynamic, modern workspace.

A lounge and ping pong table with stadium seating were built to underline this firm’s progressive culture and creative drive.
